Source:History of Westminster, Massachusetts : first named Narragansett, no. 2, from the date of the original grant of the township to the present time, 1728-1893, with, p. 124 and thereabouts, says Rev. Elisha Marsh graduated from Harvard in 1738 and settled at Narragansett No. 2 (Westminster, MA). Opposition to his ministry started about 1747, followed by dismissal and legal wrangling through 1761. He moved to Walpole, NH about 1770. Source:Vital records of Westminster, Massachusetts, to the end of the year 1849 does not have a record of the birth of Benjamin, but does show the birth of a son Elisha in 1750 (p. 57) and the death of his wife Deborah in 1756(p. 235). Given all this, it appears Benjamin was born in Westminster.
