Will of Benjamin Hurt

Benjamin Hurt will dated 1-19-1781, probated in Caroline County, Va. On 2-8-1781 named his wife, Ann Hurt (his second wife) and nine children, viz:
(1) William Hurt was a son of his first wife. The other eight children were the children of his second wife, Ann Hurt.
(2) Benjamin Hurt, born in 1759 and died in 1835. He was an officer in the Commissary Dept. of the Revolutionary Army.
(3) Ann Hurt, married Matthew Peatross.
(4) John Hurt.
(5) Rebecca Hurt. She married William Venable by bond in Caroline County, Va., dated 12-14-1794.
(6) Titus Hurt.
(7) Molly Hurt. As Polly Hurt she married Wilson Turner by bond in Caroline County, Va. dated May 3, 1797.
(8) Frances Hurt.
(9) James Hurt.

Will of Benjamin Hurt, deceased, was proved on motion of Benjamin Hurt and William Hurt and Matthew Peatross. Certificate is granted for obtaining a probate.
