"23. Benjamin⁴ (Hosford) (Samuel³ [10], John,² William¹) … was born at Windsor, Conn, Jan. 1, 1700/01. He died 1743. … In 1718 Benjamin was a proprietor of Litchfield, Conn. He became resident there and deacon of first church (1723). He and Abiel Smith were administrators of the estate of Nathaniel Smith in 1726. He is found at Farmington, Conn., in 1743."
