HOOK-On Tuesday, January 30, at his residence, 15 Boerum place, after a lingering illness, BENJAMIN HOOK, in the 66th year of his age. While converse sweet with those we love Swells fondly on our ear, Such happy hours will oftentimes Draw forth a silent tear. To bid adieu to those sweet friends Who to our souls are dear Will cause the heart a bitter pang, The eye a silent tear. The body will be taken to the church of St. Charles Borromeo, corner of Sidney place and Livingston street, on Thursday, February 1, at ten o'clock A.M. where a solemn requiem mass will be offered for the repose of his soul, and from thence to Greenwood Cemetery for interment. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
