Deaths as reported in The Providence Gazette:
'GIBBS Benjamin, in 93d year; was 32 years old when married to his wife, who died aged exactly 80 years, Jan. 20 last, at Litchfield, Conn., [Gazette of] May 10, 1767'

    2:388-89.

    'Gibbs, Samuel, Windsor. (Died 8 February, 1719-20. ...) Invt. ... Taken 24 February, 1717-20 [sic: presumably s/b 1719-20] ... Will dated 1st October, 1718.'
The will mentions "my eldest son Samuel", a woodlot "which was my father Dibble's", "my son Benjamin", "my deceased daughter Hepsibah Dickinson", daughters "Patience Denslow", "Elizabeth Hayden", "Joannah Loomis", "Experience Huxley, "and "Miriam Bissell", "my sons, Benjamin Gibbs, Josiah Bissell and Moses Loomis."

  4. Benjamin was born after Samuel (mentioned in their father's will as being the oldest son). His age at death in 1767 is given as "in 93d year", which appears to be an exaggeration.
