    CHarrisonburg, Va. - B. F. Cromer, 82, died at his home near Ottobine Sunday (Dec 1 1918). He was a Confederate veteran, was seriously wounded in the battle of Manassas and was a member of the organization called to the John Brown trouble. Surviving, besides his widow, are the following children: Mrs. E. A. Carrier, of Harrisonburg; Mrs. Thomas Deavers, near Harrisonburg; Mrs. Milton Lilly, of Lilly; Mrs. A. H. Gordon, of Philadelphia; Mrs. J. R. Wine, of Spring Creek; Mrs. Dan P. Wine, of Harrisonburg; Miss Ida Cromer, at home; Mrs. D. Van Pelt, Spring Creek; Mrs. J. C. Bowman, of Harrisonburg; Floyd Cromer, of Missouri; John Cromer, of Orange Courthouse; Harvey Cromer, of Derby, W. Va., and E. E. Comer (Sic-Cromer), of Ottobine. He also leaves over 50 grandchildren.
