Information on Benjamin Cochran is included from his Revolutionary War Pension Application File, specifically the Pension Application of his wife Hannah Newell and her brother John Newell who provided that Benjamin Cochran was some 20 years older than his wife Hannah, they were married in November 1780 against her father's wishes and had ten children born in North Carolina. They lived in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina and removed to Abbeville District, South Carolina in the year 1804. Also that Benjamin Cochran died in March 1819, likely in South Carolina.
