    Benjamin Bale of Dorchester and late of Boston, mariner, s/o Benjamin Bale and Elizabeth Patten, b. about 1634 probably Crewkerne, England, d. bef 16 Dec 1676 [citing deed Suffolk 17:332, it is believed they intended 17:322 cited below but it is not known how this supports this date as it was executed in 1696 by his heirs and appears to only mention a will dated 2 Jan 1673] and 27 Apr 1680 [administration granted], m. about 1668 "Bathshewa (Bathshua, Bathsha, Bethsheba or Bathshebee) Lothrop (or Lathrop)".

    Vol. 17, p. 322 Indenture dated 8 Jul 1696 between Benjamin Bale Marriner, John Bale Cordwainer, Samuel Trott yeoman and Mary his wife, and Bary Bale Spinster children and heirs of Benjamin Bales sometime of Dorchester Marriner Dec'd and Bathshua his wife of the one part, and John Cotta Sen'r of Boston Tayler of the other part, whereas Justin Patten Relict Widow by will dated 2 Jan 1673 [note: may be seen here ] give to her Cousin [nephew] Benjamin Bale the father a house in Boston containing two tenements, after his decease by his widow until she marry another, then to his children, and Bathshua Bale late Relict widow hath divers years since intermarried with Alexander Marsh of Braintrey, so the heirs for £420 convey this property to John Cotta.
    Vol. 17, p. 324 20 Nov 1691: Samuel Trott of Dorchester Husbandman and Marcy my wife daughter of Benjamin Bale late of Boston Marri'r Dece'd acknowledge receipt from Bathshua Marsh wife of Alexand'r March of Brantry husbandman and administratrix to her former husband Benjamin Bale and from Benjamin John and Mary Beale children of the said Benjamin Beale £87 as our full share and discharge the s'd Bathshua Marsh Benjamin John and Mary Beale.
