Sept. 1695 — son of Benjamin Alvord, Jr., and Deborah Stebbins—and Eunice King). She d. Feb. 18, 1763, and he m. Nov. 29, 1764, Lois Clark b. Sept. 5, 1718 (dau. of Increase Clark of Northampton, and Mary Sheldon, and sister of the wife of his brother Jerijah Strong): a farmer at Northampton, and a land holder also at Westhampton. He d. May 5, 1803, aged 83. She d. Oct. 5, 1798, aged 80. 'He was moderate and easy; his second wife was an old maid, and was a very neat and active woman, and made a revolution in his family, much to their advantage.' He probably lived at Sheldon, Vt. for a time (1752-61), and then returned to Northampton."
