In Milton, Wis., Jan. 30th, 1866, of consumption, Mrs. Bashaba Buton, wife of Fredrick Buton, in the 45th year of her age. Sister Buton was a daughter of Joseph Edwards, and moved, when quite young, with her parents, from Rhode Island, and settled in Alfred, N. Y. Upon her marriage, twenty-one years ago, she with her husband came West, and they found a home in Milton, Wis., where they have since resided. She professed religion when fourteen years old, and united with the First Alfred Church. She transferred her membership to the Milton Church soon after settling in this place. During her illness, which was quite long, she was sustained by the presence of her Saviour, and calmly resigned her spirit into his hands at her death.
