10 Oct 1826: Bond of Levi Sprague of Northfield as guardian of Barzilla Wood of Northfield "who by excessive drinking doth so spend, waste and lessen his estate as thereby to expose himself and family to want and suffering circumstations" [complaint initiated by Selectment of Northfield].
10 Oct 1828: Petition of Ezekiel Wood, Edward Nettleton Jr, Lucretia Nettleton, George Nettleton, Lucy Nettleton, children of Barzillia Wood of Northfield that Levi Sprague guardian has taken the goods and estate of Barzillia Wood in to his possession and refuses to account for them, be remanded from his office, that Barzillia Wood is perfectly sober and correct in his deportment, and capable of taking care of his own business.
20 Apr 1832: Testimony of Stephen Tilden and Asahel Sawyer both of Northfield that Barzillai Wood was a revolutionary pensioner, died 15 Jan "last past", left no widow, his wife having died about five years since, and 4 children, viz, Ezekiel Wood, Philana Sprague wife of Levi Sprague, Lucy Nettleton wife of George Nettleton, and Lucretia Nettleton wife of Edward Nettleton Jr. all of Northfield, and two other children Cynthia Dwier and Sarah Wright who "removed with their husbands to parts unknown".
27 Aug 1833: Ezekiel Wood of Northfield as administrator of Barzilia Wood late of Northfield deceased.
