The McMullens, Turnipseeds, Bargerhoffs, Huffmans, and Millers are often mention together in Bills of Sales and Apprasials in the Probate records and Deedbooks of Pendleton Co. West Virginia. They seem to be connected through several marriages in within the families.for example, Isaac McMullen son of Duncan, married Susannah Huffman, daughter of Bargett Huffman and Mary Eve Miller. David McMullen, son of Duncan, married Margaret Bargerhoff, daughter of Nicholas Bargerhoff and Elizabeth Miller. Elizabeth and Mary Eve are sisters. Another Miller sister, Anna Magdalena married Jacob Turnipseed who sold land to Duncan McMullen in Pendleton Co. WV.The Turnipseeds, Bargerhoffs and some of the Huffmans moved to Ohio about 1820 so this might be the connection to the McMullens your looking for. Hope some of this helps a little.
