    BRIDGTON - Barbara A. Noble, 71, of Memory Lane, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003 in New Gloucester from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
    She was born in Rumford on Sept. 23, 1932, a daughter of Ambrose B. and Rita M. Peabody Milligan. She attended schools there and graduated from Stevens High School in 1950.
    Barbara was Assistant Vice President, Loan Officer and Branch Manager at Norway Savings Bank in Bridgton for many years and was Employee of the Year in 1994. She retired from there in 1997. While working at the bank, she attended a number of banking related courses and also the Dale Carnegie Course.
    She was a member of the Chickadee Quilters Club, past treasurer of the Bridgton-Lake Region Chamber of Commerce and she also served on the Bridgton Revitalization Committee.
    Since her retirement, she was an avid Beano player.
    She married Francis B. Noble, Jr. on Sept. 20, 1952.
    She is survived by her husband of Bridgton; four sons, Fred of Sweden, Warren of Sweden, Scott of Bridgton and Francis of Bridgton; two daughters, Deborah Noble of Bridgton and Susan Cushman of Windham; four brothers, Carl Milligan of Oxford, Earl Milligan of Rumford, Merle Milligan of Florida and John Milligan of Scarborough; two sisters, Nellie Burgess and Shirley Farwell both of Rumford; 11 grandchildren; and three great - grandchildren.
    A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at the Bridgton United Methodist Church with the Pastor Richard Male officiating. Burial will be at the Forest Hill Annex in Bridgton.
