    KRIEGER-FRIESEN, Barbara May Daughter of Samuel and Sarah Krieger passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 28, 2009. She will be remembered as a loving mother of <names of living individuals have been removed> and grandmother to <names of living individuals have been removed>. She will also be missed by sisters; <names of living individuals have been removed> and brothers <names of living individuals have been removed>, predeceased by brothers Cecil (Marion), Lawrence (Marilyn) and Wilber (Faye) and by many nieces and nephews. Barbara was a co-founder of Friesen-Kaye and Associates and served on the Nepean Public Library Board and was a vigorous fundraiser for several charities and service groups including the Canadian Diabetes Association and the Carleton-West Russell Historical Society. She was active in politics at the national and local level. Always a fighter, she battled many challenges including diabetes and heart disease. She will be remembered for her strength, courage, unwavering faith, determination, and loving kindness. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 1st at Kelly Funeral Home, 2370 St. Joseph Blvd. Orleans, Ontario from 2:00 pm to4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 2nd at Orleans United Church, 1111 Orleans Blvd.Orleans Ontario. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers,donations may be made to the Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association.
