The only public record found regarding Azariah "Tony" Ford is a misdemeanor case in the Grant Circuit Court, February Term 1904. In the case, Commonwealth vs. Toney Ford, Ford is indicted with having …."on the 4th day of February 1904, unlawfully and willfully disturbed and broke the peace of divers citizens then and there present, and within his hearing, by cursing and using profane and vulgar language in a loud and disorderly manner by cursing Nute Barnett and his wife Martha Barnet and by threatening said Nute Barnett to kill him." Newt Barnet gave the following affidavit in the case: "Tony Ford came to my house. Tony's boy came to my house and poured castor oil on the floor. I objected. Tony got mad and threatened to tear the house down in 24 hrs if I did not get out, called my wife a hoar, cursed me, swore he'd kiII me."
