    Miss Aurilla Lane was born in Sullivan, Ohio, April 5, 1839, and died at her home in Fremont July 2, 1917, at the age of 78 years and three months. She was married to Albert Beem February 15, 1862. Mr. and Mrs. Beem moved to Newaygo county in 1870, settling on the farm at Reeman where she lived until 1908 when she came to the home on Sullivan St., Fremont, where she lived until she passed away Monday.
    Mrs. Beem is survived by one son, John Beem, of Reeman, two daughters, Mrs. Mary Reed, of Beulah, and Miss Helen Beem of this city; also one sister, Mrs. W.A. Ford, of Holton.
    Mrs. Beem was one of the best known and most highly respected citizens of this community. She was for many years a devoted member of the Church of Christ.
    The funeral service will be held at the home on Sullivan St. Thursday afternoon, July 5, at 2 o'clock. Rev. R.A. Thibos, pastor of the Church of Christ, will officiate.
