Obituary 

AUGUST C. GREIER, aged 71 years, died Wednesday night at 10:40 o'clock in his home at Smith's Corners, following a short illness.  He was born in Allegheny county, Pa., and came to Mahoning county 38 years ago.  He followed farming and for a considerable time engaged in coal mine operating.  He was a member of Smith's Corners Evangelical church.  Besides his wife he leaves four daughters and two sons -- Mrs. Nettie Anderson, Mrs. Herman Yonkee, Mrs. Grace Dingledy, all of North Jackson, and Mrs. Seldia McGowen, Alfred and Cyrel Greier, all of Smith's Corners.  Funeral services will be held at the home Saturday at 2 p.m., Rev. Newton Jones officiating.  Burial in Cornersburg Lutheran cemetery.  The body will be at the Williams funeral home until 4 o'clock Friday afternoon.
