    [Note: reported everywhere as 1 Dec, this clearly appears to be 7 Dec. There is interference from the 9 of the line above, but the 9 curls upward like a small 'g', leaving no explanation for the horizontal line in a darker ink that extends just slightly beyond the curl, except that this was a '7', not a '1'.]
