Heirs are Parmelia Bruce widow of Asa B.; Elizabeth Bancroft late Smith, William M. Bruce, Mrs. W. Miles, and Mrs. S. Johnson children of Silas Bruce a brother of Asa now deceased; Calvin Bruce a brother of Asa; [Menwale?] [found as Merville or Mervale in various census records] Bruce a child of Nelson Bruce a brother of Asa now deceased; Julia Harpp William Harpp and Frank Harpp grandchild of Nelson Bruce a brother of Asa now deceased [it appears Nelson's daughter Hattie m. Lyman Harp, per 1880 Horicon, NY census]. The widow has bought the shares of the other heirs and the homestead is settled on her.
