Will of "Asa Bixby of Barre ... Yeoman being sick and weak in body", dated 8 Jun 1786 , witnesses Sworn 3 Apr 1787, proved 2 Oct 1787, names wife Mary ["land my Hon'd father Solomon Bbixby of Worcester Deeded to me, Lot N'o 43 in the Second Division of Land in the Town of Warwick now called Orrange"], brother "Joel Bixby of Worcester who is a Minor now living with my Hon'd father Solmon Bixby". Wife to be Executrix and mr Timothy Hastin of s'd Said Barre (our Hon'd father) Executor with her.
[Note: the dates are confused. The will appears written Jun 1786 and Asa says he is sick, but the marriage to Mary is dated Feb 1787. Presumably the year of the marriage may be incorrect? The witnesses were "sworn in due form" 3 Apr 1787, presumably indicating Asa had died by then, but will was not officially proved and executor's bond given until 2 Oct 1787. Further note: the description of the property given to his wife matches land sold by Abraham Stevens and shows his widow m. (2) Abraham Stevens.]
