    The Paper has learned of the recent passing of two former residents of Pinawa whom many people may remember: Art Summach died at the age of 90 on February 28, and Irv Grabke passed away suddenly March 18 at the of 81. Our sympathies to their families and friends.

    Peacefully, with family by his side, at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Grimsby, on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Doris (1988). Dear and loving father of [names of living individuals have been removed] and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, Grimsby (905-945-2755) on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 from 12:30 pm until the time of the service at 1:30 pm. Burial at Queen’s Lawn Cemetery, Grimsby. If desired, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
