Arthur J. Rohweder, 75, 557 N. Walnut St., died Monday afternoon at Mercy Hospital after three days illness. Mr. Rohweder was a barber in Janesville for 12 years and was employed at the Parker Pen Co. for nine years. He was a member of Western Star Masonic Lodge No. 14, Madison Consistory and Zor Shrine. Born in Dysart, Iowa, March 9, 1886, he was the son of Marcus and Mary Whitecraft Rohweder. His first wife, the former Grace Lester, died in 1925. Mr. Rohweder and Corinne Crandall were married June 26, 1935 in Oregon, Ill. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Gay Donaldson, Denver, Colo.; one son, Terry Rohweder, Janesville; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Overton Funeral Home, The Rev. Kendrick Strong, First Congregational Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7 to 9, the Masonic service will be held at 7:30.
