Obituary

Arthur C. "Art" Kimmel Jr., 69, of Ruskin, Fla., formerly of Continental, died at 5:45 p.m. Sept. 15, 2008, at his son's residence in Ottawa. He was born March 30, 1939, in Defiance to Wanda M. Ladd and Arthur Clinton Kimmel Sr., who preceded him in death. On Aug. 30, 1958, he married Linda Lohr, who survives in Florida. Mr. Kimmel retired from General Motors Powertrain, Defiance. He enjoyed fishing and playing shuffleboard. He loved his dog, Zeke. Survivors also include two sons, Mark W. Kimmel, of Oakwood, and Glenn A. (Carla) Kimmel, of Ottawa; two daughters, Lynn (Patrick) Draheim, of Swanton, and Debora Kimmel, of Ottawa; and 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Cusick. Services will begin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa. Pastor Betty Penner will officiate. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
