In the 1939 Polk's Montgomery City Directory, Arnold was a clerk at Price Drug Co. His home address was 16 Bay. In 1941, he was a waiter at Willie's Smoke Shop. In 1942, he was "US Army". In the 1947-48 and 1949 directories, he and wife Alma were living at 12 E Park Ave. He was still "US Army".
Arnold enlisted for 1 year in the US Army as a Staff Sargent. His enlistment record says he had 2 years of high school education. He was married and his civil occupation was "showmen". His height was "08", weight "246".
