    RESIDED: in Somerset County; Baltimore County, 1779; Princess Anne Hundred, Somerset County, 1783; Washington, D.C., 1801.
    FAMILY BACKGROUND.
    FATHER: possibly Arnold Elzey, Gent. (ca. 1724-?).
    MARRIED by 1796 Henrietta (?-1835), daughter of Ephraim Wilson (1726-1778) and wife Mary; granddaughter of David Wilson (1704-1750); niece of Samuel Wilson (1735-1790). Her brother was David, said to be mentally incompetent in 1777. Her sister was Peggy.
