Bio: Arline Bernstein BERNSTEIN, Arline Weiss Died March 9, after battling a long illness. She was born in Forest City, PA and earned a B.A. at Syracuse University. She was a music supervisor in schools in N.J. and Long Island, N.Y. She is survived by Ralph Bernstein, her husband of over 53 years. She was predeceased by a beloved son Jonah, and grandson Elliot, and is survived by daughters Susan (and Alphonse) Bedrossian of Bellingham, MA and their children Amanda and Christine, by Ellen (and Marc) Fultz of Athens, OH and their children Benjamin and Danielle, by Carol Bernstein (and Kristian) Rydqvist of Binghamton, NY and their sons Max and Samuel, and by Marian (and Michael) Wallace of Sudbury, MA and sons Jackson, Spencer and Elijah. In all the years she has been in the Dayton area she has been very active in musical organizations: the Dayton Bach Society, the Dayton Philharmonic Volunteer Association, the Dayton Opera Guild, the Dayton Music Club and the Mu Phi Sorority. She was particularly delighted to hear of young people advancing in their musical careers who had been awarded local scholarships. Funeral Service to be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, March 13, 2006 at Temple Israel. Interment at the Danville Jewish Cemetery, Danville, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to student scholarship funds at the Dayton Philharmonic or Dayton Opera.
