Ralph Parkin, 64 years old, well known farmer, died in his home, three and one-half miles southwest of Kirkland, at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday morning. He had been in ill health for some time but had not been seriously ill until Monday.
He was born in Mazomanie, Wis., and worked as a telegrapher for both the North Western and Milwaukee railroads. He went to Kirkland to work as telegrapher for the Milwaukee when a young man. Here, he met and married Miss Olive Renwick. Later, he gave up his position with the railroad and went to farming. He was a member of the Masonic lodge.
Besides his widow, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Arlene Parkin of Mazomanie, and a brother, Clare Parkin, of Madison, Wis. Burial was in Mazomanie.
