  14. 14.0 14.1 Antwine entered into an indenture agreement with Valentine Ferris, whereas he was to pay rent for the property at a rate of six dollars annually due January 1st each year as well as any taxes current or future. If, at any time, he was to pay an additional $100, assuming his rent was up to date, Valentine Ferris would, in turn, issue him a warantee deed.
Antwine later sold this lease agreement to James O'Neal for $500.00 on a Quit-Claim Deed dated 26 April 1867. Both Antwine & Bridget made their mark on this document. At this time Antwine & Bridget were living in Harrietstown, New York.

Found several other Colon's or Coolon's buried at Harrietstown. Possible children were Elizabeth born Apr 24, 1834 died Apr 8, 1923; Henry died Mar 28, 1909 @ 67 years; John died Feb 3, 1881 @ 43 yrs - Co. C 8th Reg Ills Infty; the rest of the dates were later and look to be possible grandchildren.

Sent for death records. There was only one for Antwine and not for Bridget. Called the town clerk. She had no record either. Asked about the church across the street from the cemetery. Not in use anymore. Called the funeral home, but their early records were destroyed by water damage. Suspect that Bridget did not die in Harrietstown, but went to live with a relative after her husband's death and died there.

In the 1880 US Census, Mary Ellen, 14 years old and born in Vermont, is listed as a daughter. I imagine this is a granddaughter or even possibly a great-granddaughter.

Could have a son named Joseph, born in 1830 in Vermont. He also moved to Harrietstown. His wife's name is Elizabeth.

1850 Census - name is Austin Coolum, age 45, born in France
