  3. ↑ The birthdate of 18 Aug 1663 is based on various secondary sources, but no primary source has been found. It is feared that it may be based on an entry in the Hobart Journal on 18 Aug 1665 for an unnamed son of Anthony Sprague which appears to be Benjamin's birth listed on the wrong date (town records show that birth on 16 Aug 1665). There appears to be no record of Anthony's birth in the Hingham records, nor any mention of his birth in the Hobart Journal, only his baptism in 1666 along with his brother Benjamin.
