    Some show that he was born in 1740, but other records show 1728)(Alt. death date - Feb 17) He was the son of immigrant & Capt. John Rucker (1680-1742) and Susanna Phillips (1684-1742)(Her last name is disputed). He married Rebecca Burgess (1735-1842) in Amherst Co., Virginia in 1761. (Some show Rebecca's last name as Eads) They were the Parents of approx. 10 children. They are both buried in the Rucker Family Cemetery in Monroe, Amherst Co., Virginia. His will only mentions the following family:(wife: Rebecca; sons: Abner, Armistead and Absolom; daughter: Agnes Ogden and the children of deceased daughters: Ann Eades and Amelia Richardson. He out lived several of his children. (List of children are on Rebecca M. Rucker's Memorial page).
