    In answer to your question; From Index and Personal Histories From Historical Hand Atlas Monroe Co., MI. 1881:

    Anthony Bordeaux, who was born in the disputed territory between Ohio and Michigan, which is now in Lucas county, Ohio, April 07, 1816, removed to Whiteford township in the year 1834, where he has been very prominent in local affairs, as is attested by the fact that he has held the office of Justice of the Peace for the past twenty five years, in this and Lucas county, Ohio. He has held several public offices at different times. His Father, Louis Bordeaux,also died in Lucas county, Ohio, in 1820. His mother, Susan (Guyor) Bordeaux, who removed to Monroe county in 1835, died there in 1863. Mr Bordeaux has entered the bonds of matrimony no less than four times. His present wife, Elizabeth (Flynn) (Hattersley), whom he married in Monroe county, November 25, 1880, had a very romantic birth, having been born May 23, 1835, on board a vessel in mid-ocean, while the ship was coming from England to this country. His third wife, Nancy Page, to whom he was married February 22, 1870, died June 02, 1880, childless. He married his second wife, Esther Jane Bates, April 12, 1855; her death took place October 14, 1869; her children are: Alpha, born February 01, 1856, resides in Lucas county, Ohio; Ida, born (the rest was blank and unreadable). The first step in Mr. Bordeaux's matrimonial alliance was made on the 20th of June 1835, when he was joined in wedlock to Pamelia Sawyer. The fruits of this union are: Wealthy, born October 14, 1836, resides at Toledo; Edwin, December 26, 1838, resides in Eaton county, Michigan; Lorinda, February 22, 1845, resides at Toledo; Ara, June 08, 1847, resides in Monroe county, Michigan, and Mary Jane, born February 19, 1850, resides at the same place. The death of his first wife took place October 24, 1854. Mr Bordeaux's son, Ara, served three years in the 14th. Ohio Volunteer Infantry; he was in several engagements and was wounded on the 5th. of August, 1864, before Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Bordeaux is a farmer, and his Post Office address is Ottawa Lake, Monroe Co., Michigan.
