Mrs. Annie Conn, the wife of Mr. J. P. Conn, whose death took place in Wallsend Hospital on Tuesday, following an operation, was the third daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. R Kellett and was born in Wallsend in 1880. All her life had been passed in the township, and for many years prior to her marriage, which was celebrated in 1903, she was employed by Mr. T. Fryar, the district registrar of births, death and marriages. During the past 18 years she had been in an indifferent state of health. Her marriage was without issue, but, in addition to the widower, a sister and a brother survive her. They are Mrs. R. Forrester, of Wallsend, and Mr. H. Kellett, of Stockton. The funeral was conducted on Wednesday, a very lengthy cortege proceeding from her late residence at the intersection of Wentworth and Tyrrell streets, following service by Rev. S. Fleming, who also officiated in the Methodist Cemetery, Wallsend. The funeral ritual of the Grand United Order of Oddfellows, of which Mrs. Con was a member, was also delivered at the grave by Sister Mawkes, N.G., of the Southern Cross Ladies Temple. The pall-bearers were Messrs. J. Bradley, sen., and J. Bower, representing Court Friendship A.O. Foresters; Messrs. R. E. Scott and E. Tobin, the Wallsend and Plattsurg Regatta Club, and Messrs. J. Hogg and T. Fogo, the Plattsburg Yearly Club. Mr. Conn being connected with the bodies mentioned. The representatives of the Southern Cross Ladies' Temple G.U.O.O.F. included Sisters Mawkes. Gallaglher, Richardson, Dawson, Russell and Curley. Floral tributes were placed upon the grave on behalf of Harry and Ett, Lizzie and Bob, Mrs. Conn. mother and father, Maud and Charlie and Auntie Kate, Gerald and Ethel, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Roberts, Flo and Tom, Alf and Doris, Annie and Jim, Wallsend Ambulance Class, Wallsend and Plattsburg Regatta Club, Wallsend and Plattsburg Co-operative Society, Mr. and Mrs. Fitzpatrick, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Edgar, Mrs. Fogo and Norah and Agnes, Mr. and Mrs. Wilkins and Lettie and Mrs. Drummond, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. M'Laughlin and family, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Fogo, and Harry and Grandma Stewart, E. Leighton, Mr. and Mrs. J. Hitchcock, Mr. and Mrs. Crook. Miss Eva Conn, T. H.
