[Graydon.GED] Anne Graydon graduated from high school in Brooklyn, NY and was anaddressograph operator befo re she got married. Anne and her sister,Irma, were best friends their whole life. They doub le dated as teenagersand introduced each other to their husbands. Anne met Charles Breen thro ugh Irma's then boyfriend, Lenny Goodman. According to family tales,the Graydon brothers (Don, Walter and Bill) thought they were pretty tough and liked to tease their sister's boyfriends. They would liftLenny over their heads and pass him back and forth! Charles, who was always thin, tells, "I put a headlock on one of the brothers and held on for dear life. They never bothered me again and we became the best offriends." Anne and Charles Breen lived in the Prospect Park area of Brooklyn, NY until he was transferred to Massachusetts. They rented an apartment in Waltham, MA until they purchased a house in West Concord, MA in 1943. Charles was transferred back to Brooklyn in 1958. They bought a house in Malverne, Long Island, NY, where Dorothy graduated from Malverne High School and met her future husband, Robert Serrell. Charles and Anne returned to Massachusetts in 1964 and bought a house in Framingham, MA, close to Barbara and Michael Barilone. Marjorie attended Framingham North High School, and Dorothy attended college in Boston. The Breens moved back to Brooklyn, NY in 1970. By that time Dorothy wasmarried to Robert Ser rell and living in Sag Harbor, Long Island, NY andMarjorie was married to Ricky Nelson and li ving in Framingham, MA. Shelater divorced Ricky, moved to Colorado and married Larry Knoll . Anneand Charles were divorced in 1973/4. Anne bought a condominium inBrooklyn, about 1975 , near where her sister Irma lived. Brooklyn wasgetting to be a dangerous place to live, an d both Anne and Irma'scondominiums had been broken into. Richard was living in Fort Meyers , FL and encouraged his mother to move there. Anne sold her condominium inBrooklyn and bough t a mobile home in North Ft. Meyers about 1983. Anne Breen suffered from Myasthenia Gravis, an auto-immune disease, formany years. Later i n life, she also suffered from Lupus and rheumatoidarthritis and became very frail. By 1988 , it had become increasinglyhard for Anne to care for herself, as she had had several small s trokes(TIA's) which had impaired her ability to reason and her memory. Hermedical care and m edication program was a mess. The summer of 1988,Anne's daughters were called to Ft. Meyer s every other week for onedisaster after another. They decided to move Anne to her daughter, Barbara's house in Marlborough, MA, and get her medical programstraightened out. Anne was a dmitted to Riverhead Nursing Home,Riverhead, NY in the fall of 1991. She died in her sleep 3 1 Dec. 1992.Charles Breen lives in Tamarac, FL in 1995. He is paralyzed from theshoulders down.
