    "Anne _____, who was admitted to the Milford Church on 25 June 1642. She died in August or early September, 1673. Anne's will is found in the second part of the First Book of New Haven Probate (pp. 50-51) …

    The last will & Testamt of Mrs Anne Tap of milford in the county of Newhaven in New England widdow, being now sicke of body but of sound understanding & perfect memory doth declare as followethe. Impr: I Anne Tap aboves[ai]d doe give & bequeath unto my loving son in law William Fowler my iron Kettle for his use for his life time & after his decease to my cousin his daughter Mary Fowler & to her heyrs and assignes forever.—Item I do give & bequeath to my loveing cousins Mary Fowler & Mercy Fowler my featherbed on which I now lye with the bolster, one feather bolster and one flock bolster, one green rug, two blankets, one payre of the best sheets and one of the bedsteads, & the curtains belonging to this bed, all which to be at my son William Fowler's dispose between them, alsoe I doe give to my loveing cousin Mary Fowler aboves[ai]d my best cloake. Item I doe give and bequeath unto my loveing cousin Deborah Fowler my little box wth a lock and key.—Item I doe give and bequeath unto the Revd Mr. Roger Newton pastor of the church of christ in milford the sum[m]e of two pound. Item I doe give to my loveing cousin mr Samuell Treat the sum[m]e of ten shillings, as alsoe the yarne that I have spun, to him to make him sheets, the weaveing being payd & in mr Ealls hand. Item I doe give & bequeath to my loveing cousin Daniell Buckingham the sum[m]e of two pounds which is already in his hand: All the rest of my estate of what sort soever, whether here or in old england I doe give & bequeath to my three loveing daughters, my daughter Andrews, my daughter Nash & my daughter Treat to be divided equally amongst them. All this abovewritten is declared to be the last will and testamt of mrs Anne Tap aboves[ai]d [this? the?] seventeenth of August one thousand six hundred & seventy three, in the presence of us. Witnesses. Daniell Buckingham, Thomas Clarke.

    The inventory of 8 September 1673 totalled £62 35. 2d. Except for Daniel Buckingham, all the 'cousins' were grandchildren. Buckingham was the husband of her granddaughter, Hannah Fowler."
