Mrs. JOHN PURCELL SOUTH DORSET - Mrs. Anna (Tully) Purcell, 76, widow of John Purcell, died after a long illness Sunday night at her home in South Dorset. Mrs. Purcell was born in South Dorset, Oct 26, 1887, daughter of William E. and Mary (McBride) Tully. For many years she was a teacher in the public schools in Dorset before her marriage. For the past 20 years Mrs. Purcell had resided in Washington, D.C., where she was a former government employee. She was a member of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Washington. Survivors are a son, John J. Purcell of Bethesda, Md.; two grandchildren, John and James Purcell; two sisters, Mary and Gertrude of South Dorset and Washington, D.C.; three brothers, William Tully of Troy, N.Y.; John L. Tully of Watervliet, N.Y., and Frank A. Tully of Silver Springs, Md. and Jay, N.Y. The funeral will be held at 9:30 am Wednesday at Brewster Funeral Home in Manchester Center, followed by a Requiem High Mass at 10 in St. Jerome's Church in East Dorset. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
