    Anna Partridge Holbrook.

    In Memory of
    the widow Anna
    formerly the wife
    of Lieut Jonathan
    Holbrook who died
    Oct. [26 1802] in the
    50 year of her age.
[Note: death date taken from memorial page, appears consistent, but hard to read. 50th year, so age 49, so born about 1753.]

    p. 15.

Children of Joseph Partridge and Mary Shefffield: Anna. "An Ann Partridge of Medway, m. May 1, 1771, Jonathan Holbrook of Bellingham."
[Note: the parentage is established by the father's probate opened in 1754. The marriage appears more speculative.]

  3. Anna is an excellent match to be the widow Anna Holbrook of Medway who m. 1799 Sherebiah Baker of Orange. He remarried in 1804. However the estate of her first husband Jonathan [Suffolk 20132] is completed before 1799 and the secondary distribution of the widow's dower never indicates she remarried. The gravestone also does not give the name Baker, though the odd wording "formerly the wife" instead of calling her simply the wife or widow, would seem to indicate remarriage.
