Ann Spire was baptised on 1st February 1732 at Ashton under Hill, which was then in Gloucestershire. She was the daughter of Margaret Spire, formerly Stokes, and her husband Robert Spire, a weaver. Sadly baby Ann died just a couple of days after her baptism, being buried at Ashton under Hill on 4th February 1732.
