[Note: footnote: "This was Anne (Smedly) widow of James Davis. This record is doubtless correct, as Ann Smedly was born Dec. 12, 676 (page 19), and was married to James Davis March 4, 1700-1. Her gravestone, however, says she 'departed this Life in June 1760 In the 79th Year of her Age.'" Age 78 from 1760 is birth about 1682, while age 84 from 1761 is 1677.]
