Ann Page's origins have yet to be established. Her marriage and burial records both imply that she was born around 1771.

Ann's first confirmed sighting is on 5th February 1799, when she was married at East Stoke in Nottinghamshire to a shoe maker called William Bonser. At this time, she was said to be living in the parish of Barnby, presumably meaning Barnby in the Willows, about eight miles to the east of East Stoke.

Ann and William had a daughter, also called Ann, born on 14th October 1799 at East Stoke. Sadly baby Ann only lived for three or four days. Ann then died the week following her daughter's death, being buried at East Stoke on 24th October 1799. She was said to be 28 years old. William survived her by 53 years and went on to remarry just over a year after her death.
