Ann Hill was baptised on 16th October 1785 at Emberton in Buckinghamshire, daughter of John and Mary Hill.

On 16th February 1808, aged 22, Ann married Thomas Lewis at Emberton. Ann's sister Diana was one of the witnesses to their marriage. Thomas was a labourer from Willen, about six miles south of Emberton. After their marriage they settled at Willen, having three children baptised there between 1808 and 1813, although the youngest died as a baby.

Ann died at the age of 28. She was buried at Willen on 18th August 1814. Thomas survived her by nearly 37 years.
