From New Orleans newspaper clipping: "Angus F. Barclay, former general manager of the New Orleans Public Belt railroad, whose career closely paralleled the history of that enterprise, died after an illness of about a year at 8:10 a.m. Sunday at the residence, 5670 Rosemary Place. Mr. Barclay was appointed general manager of the system November 15, 1934, to succeed the late Frank H. Joubert. He resigned a few weeks ago. His first connection with the railroad came in October 1906 while the tracks were being laid. He served as office engineer, field engineer and, with the advent of operations in 1908, assistant engineer. In 1912 he resigned to enter the employ of what is now the Texas Pacific-Missouri Pacific Terminal Company, returning to the Public Belt as chief engineer on March 1, 1916, after he had completed the work of terminal facilities construction for which he had been engaged. Mr. Barclay is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Allen B. Rogers, and son William Barclay. Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home of P.J. McMahon and Sons at 10:30 .m. today, with interment in Cypress Grove cemetery." Also: "Angus F.
