    Mrs. Angie Maxey Spear, 91, a retired school teacher, died at a Bowling Green nursing home. Mrs.Spear, the daughter of the late P. G. Maxey and the late Mrs. Emily Oglesby Maxey, began her teaching career in this county at the age of 16. While still in her teens she went to the Indian Territory, later to become the state of Oklahoma, to teach. After teaching Native Americans for a few years, she continued in a total of six states.

    Her husband was the late Joe Spear.

    Funeral services will be held at Yokley Funeral Home Chapel on North Main Street, Bro.Herbert Ledford officiating.

    She was a member of a family of 14 children, only two of whom survive, her sisters, Mrs. Fannie Bedford, of Tompkinsville and Mrs. Sue Silvey of Comanche, OK.
