The following bio is taken from his own book, Source:Ward, Andrew Henshaw. Ward Family, p. 146: (369) VI. ANDREW HENSHAW WARD, [1094.1] H. U. 1808, m. Sarah, b. April 10, 1787, dau. of David Henshaw, Esq., of Leicester, in 1809, and in 1811, settled at Shrewsbury in the practice of law; in 1829, appointed an officer of the Customs, and in that year removed to Boston; reformed out of office in 1841; reformed in again in 1843, and has since continued in office; thirty-six years a Magistrate, and in 1842, removed to West Newton, where he resides. A "Brief Memoir of Andrew Henshaw Ward" by William B. Trask (only 9 page long!) may be found at NEHGR, Vol. 17, p. 334. He was an early member to NEHGS and a contributor of several important early articles to this magazine as is detailed in his death notice in that magazine. He is the author of
