  1. ↑ 1.0 1.1 Andrew Alexander Miller (1818-1898) inherited half of the family's Lick Creek plantation and continued living there until the end of his life. He married Eliza Hinchman in 1846; after her death in 1866, he married Elizabeth Thomas of Monroe County. Andrew and his first wife Eliza had three children: James Houston Miller (1851-1922), who married Louisa George, then moved to Ellis County, Texas; Elizabeth Benson Miller (1850-?), who married John A. George (1842-1911) of Greenbrier County in 1868, and lived with him on the Lick Creek plantation into the 20th century; and George Andrew Miller (1857-?), a successful businessman in Summers County who married Minnie Gwinn in 1906.
