    A transcription:

    This is the last Will and Testament of me Andrew Jones of Gwernafon in the parish of Trefeglwys in the County of Montgomery Gentleman I Give and bequeath to each of my undermentioned Children (that is to say) Charles, Thomas, and Mary the sum of Two hundred and fifty Pounds And to my Daughter Sarah the sum of Fifty Pounds I Give and bequeath to each of my undermentioned Grand Children being the Son and Daughters of my late son Edward deceased namely Mary, Richard, Elizabeth, Sarah and Margaret the sum of Ten Pounds and I empower my Executors hereinafter named to apply for the advancement or otherwise for the benefit of each of my said Grand Children during his or her minority the whole or any portion of the Legacy to which such Grand Child shall be entitled and the unapplied portion if any shall be deposited in some savings Bank for the benefit of him or her I Give and bequeath to my dear wife Elizabeth Fifty Pounds to be paid to her within three months after my decease I also Devise to my said wife for her life a place to live in the same to be such one of the ends(?) of Glanyrafon House which she shall think proper to select I also give and bequeath to my said wife absolutely such portion of my Household Furniture Hats Linen China Glass Liquors Fuel and housekeeping stores as she may chose to take not exceeding in value the Sum of Twenty Pounds I also give to my said wife for her life the yearly Sum of Ten Pounds which yearly sum shall issue as a Trust charge out of all my freehold Lands and be payable quarterly on the twenty fifth day of March the twenty fourth day of June the twenty ninth day of September and the twenty fifth day of December the first payment to be made on such of the same days as shall happen next after my decease and to be recoverable by my said wife in like manner with rent reserved on common demises I declare that the provisions hereby made for my said Wife shall be accepted by her in full satisfaction of her claim to dower and free bench out of any real Estate of which I have been or now am or shall be seized I expressly charge all my real and personal property with the payment of my debts, the Legacies herein before given, my Funeral and Testamentary Expences and the expence of proving this my Will And as to all the residue of my real and personal property whatsoever and wheresoever I devise and bequeath the same as follows that is to say As to the Residue of my personal property, to my three Sons Andrew David and Richard their Executors and Administrators absolutely and as to the residue of my Real property, to my same three sons Andrew, David and Richard their heirs and assigns for ever as Tenants in common. But as to the share of my said Son Richard of the Real property I charge the same with the payment of the sum of Two hundred and fifty Pounds to my said Son Andrew which Sum I give to my said son Andrew accordingly I appoint my three sons the said Andrew David and Richard Executors of my will and hereby revoke all other wills In witness whereof I have to each Sheet of this my will set my hand this thirty first day of December in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and forty one (1841)
