Andrew Hulme's origins have yet to be established. His first confirmed sighting is on 31st August 1685 when he married Ann Fernihough at Marton in Cheshire. They appear to have had at least two sons at Marton, with a son called Andrew being buried there in 1689 and a son called John being baptised there in 1692. They have yet to be traced after 1692.
