[edit] NotesAndrew Caldwell deposed on 18 Aug 1739 that he was 'nigh 64 years of age' Possessed two tracts, Point Patience (which had earlier belonged to William Elgate) on w. side of main br. of Rockawalkin R., and Quiet Entrance, on n. side of Wicomico (Rockawalkin ) R Was of Kent County, DE on 5 Sep 1717 when he sold Point Patience. Andrew was a substantial landowner in Somerset County, Maryland, but he became a much larger landowner in Kent County, Delaware. He owned more than 6,000 acres, largely in Murderkill Hundred. In the 20 year period before he died without a will in March 1751, he gave 5,140 acres to his children, Train, Elizabeth, Andrew, James, Magdalena, William, and Joseph.
