Andrea G. Swan

Services for Andrea G. (Greene) Swan, 36, of Edgewater, will be Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City. She died at home Friday.

Swan was born in Syracuse, N.Y., and was raised in nearby Fayetteville.

Swan attended Boston University as an undergraduate and received her master's degree in counseling from Syracuse University.

Swan worked as a high school admissions advisor, helping high school students pursue acceptance at their preferred college and was working on her doctorate in Higher Education Administration at Columbia University.

She volunteered her counseling experience to help recovering alcoholics.

Surviving are her husband, Michael W. Swan; her parents, Edwina and Ira Weiner and Arthur and Carol Greene ; and a sister, Stephanie Bosworth.
