[Birth calculates to about 17 Jul 1785. Note: the memorial page gives a death date of 1 Nov 1810. This is apparently based on Source:Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, United States. Annual Report of the Cemetery Department (1903-1904, 1904-1905), p. 222, which lists Amasa Bird as interred in Abraham Howe's tomb with a death date of 1 Nov 1810, but the Dorchester records, the gravestone pictured right on this memorial page, and even this same cemetery report p. 68 show a death date of 29 Oct 1810.]

  3. Source:Blake, Samuel. Blake Family : A Genealogical History of William Blake of Dorchester and His Descendants, Comprising All the Descendants of Samuel and, p. 58, says Amasa was born in Mansfield, but gives no date nor parents. It is not clear if this is Mansfield, MA, or Mansfield, CT, and no birth record has been located in either, or elsewhere.
