Obituary

Mrs. Amanda Weinhold Krontz, daughter of John and Rachel Weinhold, was born in Knox County, Ohio April 10, 1847 and departed this life at her home south west of Butler on June 22, 1930, at the age of 83 years, 2 months, and 12 days. Mrs. Krontz with her parents moved to DeKalb County in 1853 and with the exception of a few years that she spent in Michigan, has resided here. On July 30, 1865 she was united in marriage to Mr. William Krontz who preceded her in death about 12 years. To this union was born six children, two girls and 4 boys. The girls are Mabel and Lavina and the boys are Ralph H., John E., Roy and Michael O., all of who are living to mourn her going. She was converted to the Dillen Chapel U. B. church under the ministry of Rev. Crum, about 35 years ago and remained a member as long as the church functioned and remained a true Christian until she was called to her reward.
